But yeah, no. Love AMS2 but this is a sore spot for me, no Fezzes!
Even we don't know EXACTLY what is and isn't coming for update 1.6 and beyond.
All we DO know and can discuss in a very limited fashion is what was mentioned in the last developer update.
We already know of the announced cars and that including those announced there's 7 manufacturers either licensed already or in negotiation.
So right this minute there's no real point speculating about what will and won't be coming to the game as very little is set in stone.
This is pure guess and speculation on my part but things that have to be considered are that gaining the IMSA agreement doesn't include the immediate right or license for Reiza to use or portray any of the vehicles that run in IMSA.
That would involve licensing agreements which must be made/agreed with each of the manufacturers and are separate to any agreement with IMSA.
From the quote you mention it's also unclear if it's referring to the Ferrari test track, or the cars, or a combination of both.
Like I said even us testers don't know exactly what is coming in even the next update and certainly there's even less information regarding the future beyond it other than the aforementioned dev update comment regarding 7 manufactures either settled or still in negotiation.
That's ALL we know, even then all of us testers are under strict NDA's to not jump the gun and announce anything we ARE aware of, Reiza has placed a LOT of trust in our hands and that trust has to be respected.
If something is in late stage negotiation we're not even told, much of what's BEEN settled is also unknown to use and often isn't revealed until right before a scheduled test.
Potentially (though unlikely I'd guess) there's always a chance that leaked details could scupper an unfinished negotiation through that trust being broken if someone decided to breach these NDA's.
We'd LOVE for there to be a full roster just as much as everyone else, so we won't risk jeopardising losing out through loose lips sinking ships so to speak.
So again we do know some things the public as yet don't, but not all things.
We're not telling because of that trust, our promise and the NDA.
Have a little more patience and like us, hope that negotiations are successful.
The next dev update will likely have more details though again we don't know when that will arrive either.
Speculate as much as you like though, just bear in mind not much is set in stone even this far into V1.6 testing.
A single stumbling block could scupper a deal yet to be agreed.
So anything us AMS2 Club Members will say or comment on is more often than not heavily veiled, deliberately vague or specifically made to be a mystery wrapped in an enigma..
i have all racing sims except iRacing.
IIRC, all except AMS and AMS2 have licenced ferraris in them.
none (except kunos' "ferrari virtual academy" released back in 2010) is sponsored by the scuderia AFAIK
If dont obtain licenses to ferrari and other marks make own cars SAME these marks using to other name, is well for me
There's copious cars in the game that are exactly that.
The real problem is if they tried this with Ferrari and produced an easily recognisable Ferrari body shape or style they'd be sued into oblivion (and rightly so).
This is why there's so many generic Formula cars mixed in with the likes of the McLaren, Lotus and Brabham in the various classic F1 classes.
Can I do magic?
I can answer both with a clear conscience with a no.
Ferrari GTB 365, Ferrari GTO (the old one), Ferrari F40, Ferrari 355, Ferrari 488.
Plus all the Ferraris in the various GT3 series.
All of them are free and drive well. Except for the Daytona.
Hope The modder has to get back to that. Manual clutch is not supported. What a pity.
It's not official content, but the fact that there are no black horses in AMS2 is not true.
