Bathhurst standing start wrong start line?

I've noticed that standing starts at Bathurst start at the wrong start line. I thought all standing starts were from the line closest to Hell Corner? Any more than 8 cars and you queue around Murrays Corner. What am I missing? The grid has 48 slots, and you start at position 40.
