I use an Elite Series 2 and started with these settings that I finetuned:

https://www.overtake.gg/downloads/automobilista-2-controller-settings-xbox-360-xbox-one-ps4.32134/

On the car, I reduce preload as well as the steering lock.

i used this guide, worked perfectly....

Steam -> Library -> AMS2 -> Right Click -> Uninstall

Problem solved :-D

But seriously, i have ForzaMotorsport, AC with Mods and EA WRC which is more than enough racing games i actually can handle....with controller :))

Sorry to bother you, but what's the solution? I'm having control issues too

Works well for me, I seem to get better time trial times on a joystick than with my g29. But maybe it's just the amount of time I spend with the joystick.

I can't get through the red water, the car completely stops turning in the right direction somewhere around the middle of the turn

I have a MSI wireless controller and it's pretty decent driving it.

Did a online race and even got a podium. Just git gud!

So I'm not sure I correctly understand your stated problem, but if it's with joystick turning radius for cars, you need to increase the steering lock in the advanced settings from 16, to something like 22-24~.

dont buy SIMS if you dont own a wheel. go play forza and GT7.
Or play ACE, ACC . AC, RR , LMU, RF2 which all drive very well with controller.

No wonder why sim racing is still a niche with this kind of comments. You think you're a pro pilot just because you own a wheel? Even the best professional simulators that cost over 100.000 euros are what, 80% close to the reality. Ask any pro pilot or engineer in that regard.
Is it because you got beaten by a guy with a €50 gamepad that you're so frustrated?

If this person suddenly creates a post about problems with his steering wheel base in the game, he should be advised to go drive a real car. It will be fair

I don't understand yet what the problem is. Because in ACC on red water I just move the left stick all the way to the right, but here for some reason it doesn't allow me to make the turn. The setups I tried say 22-28
But I was given some advice on the settings and I'll try again

ACC, AC, LMU, rF2 are more controlable on a gamepad than Forza is. Direct input and output with finesse outperforms heavy dampening and some assists all arcade race games have.
