Logitech G Pro cant detect wheel turning
Hi guys, just recently I tried to drive AMS 2 with my Logitech G Pro wheel and it stopped turning, so I tried to re-bind the steering and it doesnt work.
It says "Multiple inputs dectected cant..." and the steering is not working.
I did upgrade wheel firmware and than this happened. AC, ACC, RF2 are all fine just AMS2.
Same problem in G923 compatibility mode.

To properly assign the steering and pedals you have to turn and recentre the rim rapidly.
E.G. click "steer left" and then pull the wheel left and recentre as fast as you can.
You don't have to goto full lock either so even turning the rim say 45 degrees and recentring is enough, you then set the maximum angle in the wheel calibration options.
You get the "multiple inputs detected" error if you do the operation too slowly.
For the pedals a quick stamp and lift is all that's needed but again speed is critical. Too slow and you'll get the multiple inputs detected error.

Most importantly the wheel must be turned on and have run it's self calibration BEFORE you launch the game.
If you start the game 1st it will not detect the wheel at all and you won't be able to assign anything.

I've got this problem too using a Logi G29 and Moza CRP 2 Pedals it keeps being unable to detect.

I've found changing the wheel and saving the configuration can get it registering but I've had this problem for ages, it's stopped me playing the game.

100% this game is better with a controller.

I beg to differ...
The difference between a wheel and a controller is precision and consistency..
Yeah you CAN be fast with a controller but it's far harder to match your fastest race lap time after time..

Because of the massive amount of information you get from a wheel which simply doesn't exist on controller, you can feel what the car is doing at all times, rather than relying on visual input and the occasional rumble.
It's a known fact that reactions to touch and sound are far faster than to visual cues alone.
Coupled with the increased precision of a wheel vs a controller it's much easier to turn the wheels the exact amount needed for every corner every time.
The increased confidence all of this brings is staggering.
After a while on a wheel you'll start using the more esoteric racing techniques like, trail braking, slip angle, cadence braking (in cars without ABS), brake and accelerator modulation on corner entry and exit.
All because of the additional data supplied by the wheel.
All of the above leads to races like these..

Yeah you CAN have fun and good racing on controller but to get the most fun and the best experience plus the have the confidence to go 2 or even 3 cars wide into corners you really SHOULD at least consider a wheel.
That and the MASSIVE grin factor from side by side battles makes getting a wheel worthwhile.

I had this problem after the wheel firmware yesterday.
All i had to do was rebind the left and right to something corny like x and o buttons on the wheel, throttle and brake as well. Then went through the bindings again and all worked.
I am using the wheel with fanatec v3.

They really need to fix these sort of problems.

logitech g hub is needed and I use the logitech g-920 without issue. plus shifter

I removed all of Ghub and reinstalled Logitech gaming software and issue resolved. You will need to use something to remove registry entries for ghub.

I used the free portable version of Rezo unistaller.

I have ZERO issues with readability of wheel since.

I wonder if the Logi DD pro would work with LGS. I doubt you would be able to update firmware through it for the wheel.

Im using the G29 model wheel FYI upgraded the pedals a few months back

honestly if you don't put auto updates on ghub then great. but be prepared to rebind at every mouse and keyboard update logitech does if you have it on. I have had to rebind five times since the launch of the pro wheel due to updates to peripherals and fixing the true force that actually works now.

Dont agree at all. If you would say perhaps Project Cars, but this is best with wheel, no doubt.

Thank you all, who tried, rapid wheel movement and perhaps no Sun-spots, were the real deal :)

It appears the base FFB settings with the G29 is a lot lower using LGS instead of the spawn of Satan that is Ghub, something to be aware of turning up FFS strength seem to resolve that issue.
