Only if you feel you have to win rather than have fun. This is why I avoid multiplayer - too many idiots feeling they need to win under any circumstances no matter how many other people's games they ruin in the process.
Also we don't do "checkers or wreckers" in my league. Ever. We pretty much GIVE more room than what is necessary to avoid wrecking someone out and yeld positions in order to go clean through turns.
Avoid public lobbies, they are with people who are completely annonymous, while my races require people to be on discord voice chat.
One solution for league organizers would be if it would be possible to change and enforce custom setups for drivers, but I don't know if you can do that.
I love to drive other classes than GT3 in AMS2, so it's not a class I drive much, but if I were to join a GT3 lobby, I'd probably pick this car.
Fascinating how different people have different experiences.
That has nothing to do with the default setup. The M6 has a terrible clutch that is unsuitable for standing starts and that is part of the reason no real-life GT3 series uses standing starts.
Therefore you have to live with it!
Sorry but I disagree with your last point.
Default setups should be a balanced setup and drivable regardless of the conditions.
The GT3 default setups are ridiculously unbalanced atm.
The Porsche now drives like the Mclaren did pre 1.3.6.1 yet the 720S is an understeering DOG of a car now and burns up it's tyres in 2-3 laps to be able to keep up.
Then you have the brakes, at 50% brake ducts you're having the front discs baking, which compounds the tyres overheating, making many of the cars a waste of time to drive.
Yes, Yes, I know you can argue "We've all got the same issues to cope with..." which is a spurious argument at best.
But the whole POINT of defaults is they SHOULD be drivable, i,e, you CAN push the car to the limits WITHOUT having to ♥♥♥♥♥foot about to save the tyres or brakes from overheating.
That's not racing nor is it entertaining, it becomes a trial killing the fun and drives people away.
Since the game launched there have been about half a dozen nerfs to the 720S whilst the Porsche & Merc have been enhanced, e.g. 15KG added to the 720s and 10KG removed from the Porsche and Merc, 720S front aero adjusted which lowered front end grip, both done to "balance the BOP".
Great idea but I'm inclined to believe these changes with the recent tyre and driveline changes have compounded on top of the nerfs the 720S has suffered, resulting in it having to be re-tuned just days after 1.3.6.1 arrived, this re-tuning helped marginally but no where NEAR enough for it to inspire the same level of confidence when pushing as you get in the Porsche..
You'll not find one GT championship where standing starts are a thing, so why not introduce a manual rolling start to your league, paired with a formation lap, problem solved.
