FFB is very subjective. The good thing is that you can pause the title while driving, adjust FFB settings, un-pause and see how it feels... pause again.. etc.. i.e. you can make FFB changes while driving so just test some things out to find what you like.
Similar as above, different people will have different suggstions. The main ones I make sure are on the wheel verses a button box:
Pit Request
Pit Limit
DRS / KERS
Look Back
Not directly on the wheel, but I do use one of the buttons on the base to open the In-Car Management menu.
There is no such things as DSR activation or things like this ?
For FFB you are right, but i am not really good at identifying from zero if i am in the right direction.
Let's say that a good base setup would be great for me to try to iterate .
Imo gain and fx are the easy to set up vaules, gain is the general strength and fx scales the road effects (bumps and curbs).
Force Boost is the one you really have to toy with and figure out what suits you best.
The way I see it: The good thing about high values is that it gives you a tighter feel around the center of the wheel. The good thing about low values is that it gives me a better feel for the car in turns, it makes the FFB more readable for me and it`s easier to catch a slide.
Tbh. I`d kinda love to have both, but as it is I prefer low values.
Will try this out ! :)
If yes, i assume it's only on Formula cars ?
I received my new F1 wheel from Thrustmaster so maybe i can map some more buttons ? (quite hard to identify which one are quite mandatory to be honest)
I am still strugling on where to start on this game ^^
You have to change in-game in the FFB settings from default to custom.
Would also like to know this aswell as ive just purchased the game and the FFB is a bit off. Also what is with selecting a wheel that is horrid and they should have just made it so it detects what ever wheel you have not have to go through a list and select a wheel as my TX wheel is not on that list at all.
