Is there a way to manually select tires for pit stops.
So I am doing races with weather changes going from wet to try back to wet. now the issue is when I do a pit strategy I can either choose a single tire type or automatic by weather.

Unfortunately automatic by weather does not change to wet tires. It left me on hard slicks when i wanted them to change to wet since it was starting to rain and I wanted the change early. had I left it to wet tires in the pit strategy I would only give me wet tires meaning I cannot switch back to slicks when the track drys.

So am I missing something or is there no way to select which tires you want before you go in for your pit stop. Its a feature that is well liked in ac and rFactor that I use constantly. Is it in this game?

Thanks. it took me a while since I don't speak spanish, but I guess there is an option that can change that. now to just try to figure out how to do that.

It should be in the menu assignments as "In-Car Management". It should be the same mechanism as in PC2, but with a different look to the menu.

EDIT: Sorry about the video. I didn't have the sound on but only saw he brought up the in-car menu. :(

At the start of the race go into the car setup window and then choose "Pit Strategy". In that window you can create different types of pit stop options. I have one that I simply call "Change to Wets" which gives me rain tires, no damage fixes, and no fuel. Once you save that, then you need to make sure that is selected as your choice for the race. At that point, when you request a pit stop it will change you to wet tires.

If you want to do random weather, you can create and save multiple strategies and then choose that in the EMC menus during the race. However, I still can't maneuver through those without crashing so I don't do random weather changes. :)

They really need to let you assign hot-keys to the various strategies so one can just hit "1" on they keyboard for one type of stop, "2" for another etc. Or let you hit pause and choose your strategy. It's just not realistic to work through a complicated menu system mid race. This area is one place that the sim needs help.

Yea it works. I just had to bind the right button. It was named something rather strange so I had to do some guess work to figure it out. But ultimately I was able to get it.

The issue with this was that I could change to wets, but it wouldn't let me change back to slicks. There is a menu that I can bring up while on the track to adjust pit strategy and change how much fuel I will add and whether or not I want to repair so I have been using that and it works great.

Any tips for working through the menu and not get too distracted from actually driving?

use it on the straits

alternatively I guess you could also setup a macro though voice attack to do that so its like you are talking to your racing engineer. You can also play audio back so your race engineer seems like he is responding to your request.
