Can the AI do a stint in your car in AMS2?

I saw something on the reiza forums about customizing your co driver via a custom AI file so that they are not slower than you were during your stint. I did not know the AI could drive a stint, does anyone know if this is possible or is that a mod thing, maybe? If the AI can take a stint during a long race, how do you set that up? I tried searching on google ‘can the AI take a stint in your car in AMS2’ but none of the results were about a co-driver, so figured I would ask here instead of creating an account on the reiza forums to ask!

When driving and planning your pitstop, in the ICM you can select to let the AI take over the car after your pitstop.

To take back the control of the car you need to request a new pitstop and deselect the AI

Yes I found that the AI driver in the GT3 cars was just as good as me so on a long 3 hour race, I could pit, let him take over, and go cut the grass lol. You have to be careful though as sometimes they pit if they take some minor damage.. if you're watching them race you can cancel their request but if you're not around you'll find out he pitted when you probably didn't want him to :)
