Ive got over 50gb free space, i cant get the 15gb update

The game should update just fine you dont need the new dlc and the new dlc is actually free for the weekend in the patch notes i believe or really even into the week possibly they just said sometime early next week they will be back to paid content.

Maybe just uninstall the game... then re-download and install it if its not to much hassle.

Yes, uninstall and reinstalling the game is the answer when you don't have enough space for an update. It should have the update already applied.

Still cant get it, update now says 12.8 gig or something... would have to leave it downloading all night if i deleted it, over 100+ gig..geez..

If you have another drive with more room then have Steam move it there, where you should be able to update and move it back if you wish.

Other option: Uninstall something you're not using right now to free up room, update the game and then reinstall what you removed.

Try out Spacesniffer software to see what is taking up your space, if you have other large games installed you could try software that compresses game's files while maintaining them funcional.

in general, always have enough free disk space to write at least half the game in case of patches, as some patches may be large. I always have 500GB free as my largest game is nearly 1.4TB in size.

It's probably because when the update unpacks, it's about 100 gigs. After it updates everything, it goes back down.

Hmm just updated horizon 5 which is a bigger game, and that updated fine, still cannot update automobilsta 2..both on same drive....
