(A good Link Cable helps a lot)
1. Meta Quest Software
1.2 90Hz at 4128x2208
1.3. Meta Quest Link set to active open-xr runtime (i have better performance as with steam)
I don´t use external tools like "vrperkit" and i don´t change any configfiles in AMS2!
Some people set SharpeningStrength to 1.0000 but my experience is a blurry street/roadtexture.
2. Debug-Tool (turn visible Hud to performance and check)
2.1. Pixels Per Disply Override = 1.x (start with 1.2)
2.2 FOV-Tangent Multiplier = 0; 0.9 (cut´s the screen but massive performance increase)
2.3 Distortion Curvature = low
2.4 Encode Resolution Width = 4064
2.5 Encode Dynamic Bitrate = Disabled
2.6 Encode Bitrate offset = 768 (copy & paste, if you have sound problems set it to 500)
2.7 Link Sharpening = Normal
2.8 Local Dimming = Disabled (i don´t know)
Rest leave at default.
3. Ingame
3.1 Resolution 2560x1440 (this depends on your Flatscreen, it don´t have any effect on
picture quality but change the size of the HUD elements.
3.2 Texture Resolution = high
3.3 Texture Filtering = 16x
3.4. V-Sync off (in Nvidia Ootions i generally set max FPS to 120, for energy reasons)
3.5 MSAA = High (i´m not sure if there is a big difference in terms of quality, medium give
some headroom
Rest you have to look, i started with everything at medium, turn off things you do not need and on the other hand turn things hige or ultra like Car Detail or track Detail)
4. Start Game in Oculus-Mode
Turn off the Mirror in the HUD Menu! You have one in your Car :)
For immersion turn everthing in the HUD off.
You will feel as a real Racedriver.
Disable the internal AMS2 spotter.
Crew Chief will do this job.
You will never race without it.
