Which cars in AMS did Reiza get right?

Hi just wondering what the opinion is of the players who use AMS2, about which cars are a hit and which ones are SH!t.

I think the GT3 Porsche and McLaren feel like a good sim as well as the Porsche Lmdh car. The Porsche cup and BMW Pro car feels a little off the mark but somewhat a pass.

Just need some opinions because there are soo many cars and not sure if is worth adjusting my settings just for cars that are never going to hit the mark.

Also I use an old Fanatec CSW2.5 wheel so those with decent ffb wheels opinions is what I think would help. So also if you could include the wheel that you use. Could also help when it is upgrade time.

Brazilian Stock Cars are for me the best cars in the sim. As Reiza has had the licence to them for a few years, I would imagine they are the most accurately reproduced cars in the game.

Two classes of cars I would nominate are the nineties Senna-era McLaren F1 cars like the MP4/4, MP4/6 and the variants.

The other would be the Formula Vintage Gen 1 and Gen 2.

I can't say how authentic these actually are, but they make me feel like a F1 driver from eras gone by.

Not a fan of many cars but always found the GT1 class nice to drive. The Merc I dislike but the Porsche and Mclaren feel nice. P1 is also another class I used to enjoy driving. Ginetta was my favourite but it's the only one without DRS so not great for online really.

Only using a V2 so old low end wheel by today's standards.

It's a shame the BOP is so bad with the GT1 class. Guess it was like that IRL (no bop) but the Mclaren is by far the best (for me) but is so slow. The Ginetta is great but you will just get eaten up on the straights, the Sigma is nice tho.

Thats what I use it for. The Classic F1 cars are great also.
But I prefer Touring Cars and GT racing. So Brazilian Stock Cars I race as it gives me a purpose for AMS2, and something I cant do in every sim. Super V8 also, but iRacing has better V8 Supercars.

Were done pretty well from a driving point of view. My brain is not picking up as many weird behaviour flags on those cars as others.

I dont agree with the P1s and GT1s being anywhere near good. i think these were some of the worst cars ingame. Along with the Group C. Reason being these cars all have 0 penalty for going 100% steering lock into every corner.

Apart of my reason is also that these were my most driven cars in other sims and AMS2 experience is dramatically different.

Mind you this is pre update 16 so maybe its better on the beta?

Im still on the fence about the Indy cars.

Apart form the official content, seek any mods by Xela 1.

Search Youtube. His GT3 cars are brilliant and actually very nice to drive.

I much prefer the GT3 feel of 1 year ago. They had a more understeer ACC feel but not nearly as much and had a nice balance.
I'm no car expert but it feels like they turn in to much or something, not sure.

I have found most cars you can get away with doing stupid things (going full lock and making corners, locking up and making apex) but those classes are the ones I found myself enjoying in the game. Most feel weird/wrong but those classes felt best to me.

Some like the GT3 cars but for me, they are some of the worst in game and don't even talk about the road cars lol.

Tires will get updated with the next update. Reiza has already told us they found a massive issue with the tire model deep in the madness engine and they will fix it with the upcoming update. So cars will be not so forgiving in future.

Er...nobody wrote down which ffb wheel they are using. That really helps to also see which rig works with what. In theory.

I don't use any wheel, I have perfected the use of my mind to control the vehicles, unfortunately I am a Schizophreniac, which would become obvious if you saw my driving.
