My XBOX Controller Settings
Just posting my settings and hoping it will help somebody. :)

My AMS2 and PC2 controller settings are exactly the same.

The settings that matter most are:

Steering Deadzone
Steering Sensitivity
Speed Sensitivity
Controller Damping

My settings for these are:

Steering Deadzone = 0
Steering Sensitivity = 0
Speed Sensitivity = 100
Controller Damping = 50

Steering Deadzone might need increased from 0 if your analogue stick is broken at idle. Meaning it's not idle at idle position.

For the sensitivity settings, they are best close to the extremes.
Steering Sensitivity range 0-10
Speed Sensitivity range 90-100

Controller Damping, I might tweak that up/down from 50 for personal preference.
Controller Damping range 30-70

A crucial thing to check is a pad's calibration in Steam too. If you've never done this before, you may find that there's a huge default deadzone added by Steam.

To check this in Steam, go to the top left menu > Steam > Settings > controller > calibration & advanced settings.

It's a good place to dial out stick drift too.

That explains a lot.
My comment has nothing to do with OP controller questions.

They'll never fix it. 1.5 even reintroduces that awful pendulum effect, last seen in early 2021 (try it out with the Nissan GT3). Even better, 80% of the tracks have either no or only partial rumble-strip haptics. Test it with SIlverstone. They don't give a monkeys about controller users.
