I said multiple times, that AMS2 is NOT bad, that it is actually good and fun with the last updates.
Stop lying.
And still - 90€ is not cheap. Esp. not for a Season pass of unfinished games that need a lot of work still.
If you like to throw money on unfinished games - enjoy.
Normal players do not - again, see why your player numbers are so low.
This ♥♥♥♥♥♥ behaviour of fanboys like you add to that too btw.!
AND check the numbers buddy - AC is the only sim title that has steadily increasing player numbers for a good reason.
ACC loses players over time as it is GT3 only and very limited.
AMS2 loses players too.
AC is nearly a decade old. The base game with all DLC costs pennies on the dollar during sales because - the full package can be had for less than 10 euros during sales. It also supports mods.
AMS2 is a newer game, but you can also have it much cheaper than the listed price. In Humble Bundle offer you could have had in 2022 or 2023 for 11.68 euros all the following games:
Automobilista 1
Automobilista 2
Assetto Corsa Ultimate Edition
Assetto Corsa Competizione
Drift 21
Nascar Heat 5 Ultimate
rFactor 2
add to this the AMS2 season pass at discounted rate of ca 48 euros and you have AMS2 for near 50 euros total.
AC full edition at full price costs ca 40 euros. This means you can have a far newer game (AMS2) at discounted price that is comparable to the older game (AC) at current full price.
AC supports mods, the Madness engine does not, but the AMS2 devs want to enable easier modding and are trying to support that.
ACC is not GT3 only. I also has GT4 cars and various other cars like the Porsche cup, Lamborghini Trofeo, Ferrari Challenge, the smaller BMW and the game will also get GT2 cars in the future. I guess I morphed into an ACC fanboy now for pointing this out.
In any case, playing your cards right, one can get for ca 100 euros many-many racing games with huge variety - more than one can ever master. Shouting from the rooftops lies how AMS2 DLC costs 300 euros is not one of those ways.
https://steamdb.info/app/1066890/charts/
Just look at "Lifetime player count history" and as period select "all"
Look at the 1 year chart.
Down goes the player numbers. You can clearly see when the last big and very well made update dropped.
And to be fair - you still didn't answer the only important question:
WHY do people leave AMS2 or stay away from it?
Just answer it.
the graph is down since beginning of September. Games have dips like this all the time. Soon there will be a new update and the player count will be boosted again. The player count in 2023 is higher than in 2022.
"WHY do people leave AMS2 or stay away from it?" - This is your obsession and fantasy. I don't need to answer to this nonsense. Even if this was true, I don't understand what world you live in? In you home or your country, do you keep repeating a single question like a little child until someone obliges you with some kind of answer? Or does repeating the same question over and over again make you believe you are right? Its the equivalent of you asking "But answer me, why is the Earth flat?" Its a question presented on a false premise and I already overturned your false premises:
1) The 300+ euro DLC - not true, all DLC can be had for less than 50 euros
2) The falling player number - not true, its growing in 2023 vs 2022
3) nobody wants to play AMS2 - you yourself showed statistics with player counts
4) ACC only has GT3 cars - not true, it has GT4 cars and more
5) AMS2 is unpopular. - not true, tit is not unpopular. It is less popular than SOME other sims, yes. Not all sims can be the most popular. You act like only the most popular sim is worthy of anyones attention and anything that is not top 1 is trash. What a dumb way to think about the world.
6) I'm a fanboy of AMS2 - not true, I also play ACC, Dirt Rally 2.0, Project Cars 2, iRacing regularly and I like all sims, just don't have time to play them all the time.
7) Now you still wish to perpetuate the lie that AMS2 can only be played with 90 euro DLC, but I have already pointed out that you can buy the DLC today for 90 euros -10% and during steam sales it can be had for far less money, it could have been bought for less than 50 euros at times.
Caught with all these lies you still have the audacity to call me a troll.
Your goal seem to be to trigger everyone on this forum. So many times people like you turn up, throwing around comments like ‘ooh AC is a really good sim’. Fine. We get it, but there’s nothing wrong with being a (broken and unfixable) simcade racer. There just isn’t.
If people here wanted a realistic racing game, they'd already be playing any number of the many alternatives. But no, they just want to relax by playing AMS2, and there no shame in that. Absolutely not. At all. Maybe a bit. Okay, it’s very embarrassing.
Happy now, TROLL?
I like the look of the game. It's beautiful. I can't speak to physics as I'm not good enough that it would matter.
I really don't have any major issues with it.. Just not sure why I don't play it.
It would seem to have everything I want, but for some reason, I just don't enjoy it as I did a few years ago.
Maybe it has TOO many different cars/series. Sounds stupid to say I know.. but I watch a GT3 race on TV and I want to try a GT3 championship, then I get bored after 3 races..
I can't really get in to all of the other cars. karts are boring for me..
I love the older .. smaller cars.. but those are good for a race.. tough to do a championship.
Maybe I'm looking too much for the "bling" of F1 type of season, I really don't know.
I end up laying RaceRoom or AC or other older games. I really don't know why.
I am a mostly offline single championship player, so I don't bother with multiplayer. Both RR and AMS2 have decent championship modes.
Actually I'm not even sure why I posted this lol.. Just wondering what it is about this game...
..and why it is so tough to keep playing :)
Generally true for all of gaming.
Especially true for a game series, the earlier ones are almost always better gameplay.
I keep my XBOX360 console around for this reason.
I never played AMS1 so I can't speak to that specifically.
I got on board with AMS2 but also still love PC2.
lol
Great example, the Nascar series.
Whether it's cheap or not depends on how much time you send playing it! 90 euros ends up being cheap if sim racing in AM2 is a big thing for you.
