In order to properly calibrate your wheel in game, go to wheel calibration, turn the wheel all the way clockwise untill lock and click next.
then center your wheel and turn it anti clockwise 90 degrees untill it is reading the 900 dor that you have set in control panel, hold it there and click next.
Softlock will take care of the rest.
I have the same wheel. Let me know if you have any more problems.
Also what driver / firmware of the wheel are you using?
Seems a bit amateurish from devs to have calibration like this - all inputs are digital, you have absolute positions of everything...
... and I kinda lost interest in this game because of its technical wonkiness.
Am happy ACC/AC/iRacing.
Will prolly skip this and look forward to AC2.
Ok, you don't need to use my tip. Just open the game, choose the calibrate wheel option and follow the directions.
Calibrate wheel is kind of hit or miss.
Was able to calibrate once and got BMW M1 fun at Imola. Next race, it was off again.
As my review stated, out of patience.
Hope devs do something about wheel handling... pCars2 - which I think uses the same engine was not straightforward to setup, but at least the config was mostly persistent. Mostly (also bad user experience).
Still do not understand what is so hard to ask me about degrees of rotation, make sure the same is setup in wheel config and just roll forward (allowing me to set gain, and optionally some effect strength etc).
On this, as my review states, this game lost me.
Such a waste.
Then you go into the game to calibrate, Turn the wheel to the full lock position, don't worry about the numbers displayed, hold it there and click next.
Now this next step is where the number you set in the control panel comes into play, center the wheel and turn it in the oposit direction until you see those numbers you set in the control panel. If done correctly, it should say 900 when the wheel is turned 90 degrees in the calibration step. Once you see that, hold it there and click next.
