Feel wise, fully belt driven wheels are nicer, and you're probably looking at the thrustmaster t300 or TX series. Go for packages like the t300rs GT which come with the t3pa pedal set or better. Some thrustmaster kits come with great wheels and terrible pedals, so check reviews.
Above that you're getting into expensive territory.
Low-Mid = G29/G920
Mid = T300/T500
High = Fanatec anything.
DO NOT BE TEMPTED BY THE CHEAP WHEELS ON AMAZON. They are really not worth the trouble given the 3 sims you play right now, they also lack FFB which really is key to having a decent experience.
Problems with TM:
Belts snap
Mechanism for paddle shifters wear out (does not register, need to squeeze like mad)
Potentiometers get dirty very fast
As for the motor itself, I can't say because everything broke first. RMA'd the wheel back 4 or 5 times for a full new replacement (wasn't just a bad unit) and for the last wheel, I just sold it on ebay and bought into Logitech again.
When the T300 was originally introduced, there were production issues. The first few batches had some pretty bad Q&A so a lot of initial buyers had to get replacements (which Thrustmaster fully warrantied). Since that initial launch, they have addressed all the Q&A problems.
