only 1920x1080 60hz in VR that runs 2560x1440 80hz
am i missing somthing? an option to switch primary monitor? or is it one resoultion for all? game looks like ♥♥♥♥ in VR at such low res. and its keeping me from playing it. it only go's up to 1920x1080 not even a choice to switch it to 2560x1440. do i have to unplug my monitor to get it to reconize the VR display differently?

The resolution you choose in the game settings only has effect on the window displayed in your monitor, not the VR resolution.

Your HMD will render the view at its native resolution, depending the HMD you are using of course.. I have 1920x1080 windowed in AMS2 display settings, and my Oculus CV1 is working at the native resolution without problem, even I set 1.5 PPD through oculus debug tool.

i have a strix 2060 super 8gb everything set to medium-high settings getting 80fps ( rift s ) so thats all good but the game looks like crap still in VR. i also have pcars2 that runs fine and looks way better in VR running higher settings. im not sure what the problem is but after this update VR would not even work till i lunched a race then it would output to my rift s and monitor. assetto corsa looks great compared to this game and thats dissapointing.

Did you super sample to at least 1.5 in the in game VR options menu? You seem to know very little about VR settings. AMS 2 is one of the best looking race sims in VR with the proper settings. The mirrored resolution on your monitor has nothing to do with the HMD resolution.

so what your saying is im dumb and did not try any of the simple things first? that was the first thing i tried and it did not make a huge difference also kicked me into ASW mode (40 fps half of what the rift s needs) so i would have to lower my settings further to hit 80fps (optimum) for rift s. so it is a loosing battle for me. project cars 2 looks great and runs the same engine as ams2 i have no problem running any other game but this is deffinatly not 2560x1440 resoultion that i am used to.

I don't know what the issue is. I get better FPS and better image quality than pcars 2 in VR. Most other VR users report this as well so something is going on with your settings. Have you tried setting the sharpening in the config file found in my documents folder? It's the exact same file that pcars 2 users for VR sharpening.

Edit these lines in your graphicsconfigoculusdx11 file:

<prop name="SharpeningStrength" sharpeningstrength="0.600000" />
<prop name="SharpeningClamp" sharpeningclamp="0.055000" />
<prop name="OffsetBias" offsetbias="1.000000" />

You may want to increase the sharpening strength if you're running less than 1.5 super sampling.

got it fixed was a steam setting issue with the ppd.
Sevenbelow7 2020 年 4 月 16 日 上午 1:57
What was the problem ?

Yes Please explain your fix. My index Value shows blurry images from medium to far distance. it's not really playable but the sound helps me around the track. Poor headset screens i suspect.

major hard on go learn to read before you try to insult someone. i never said IPD fixed it. to be honest its not fixed yet i figured it out its just how the game is. everything close is in great detail looks awesome but trying to look ahead is where things go fuzzy. anything at medium to far looks like a ps2 game. my headset is fine no issues on any other games. im hoping its just an early access issue that can be fixed.

Turn off depth of field and motion blur.
