Test day vs time trial
This game puzzles me every day. When I run a test, get my car set up and turn a good time then I go to time trials, my car doesn’t feel like it did in test and I am about 5-7 seconds slower. I ran a 1:38 with RoCo on kyalmi in test. Go to trials and the best I can do is between 1:43-1:45. Anyone else experience this?

In time trial you don't have any assists otherwise it's the fastest gamemode with a grippy track.

you have to take in count track conditions are not the same in your test day and the trial so ambient temp, road temp and wind force and direction wont be the same. Look if there are too much difference between the 2 run conditions and adjust your setup to the time trial one

It also sounds like they may have the track set fully rubbered in for Test Day and it might not be set for fully rubbered in for TT.

Keep in mind, TT isn't necessarily about having the absolute best track conditions possible. It's more about have the "exact same" track conditions regardless of what those are, but for everyone, all the time, to compete evenly.

I've had a look today...

Time Trial:-
Ambient Temp 28'c
Track Temp 46'c
Medium Cloud, 13:00, 8kph wind speed, No date set.

Test Day
Ambient Temp 26'c
Track Temp 42'c
Clear, 10:00, 15/04/2019, Wind speed 2kph

If anything you might think it would be quicker in Time trial than test day...
Could be the track getting rubbered in on test day the more laps you do, or could be the setup or assists, but not sure 100% i'm going to do a few laps and see what difference i get now...
Be back in 20 min lol..

Yeah. I need to start saving replays I guess for proof.

Ok i've just run the same default P3 Honda, Kyalami...

Timetrial :- 1m45.0xx
Test Day :-1m47.0xx

So i'm around the 2 seconds slower per lap, but i did notice than in test day you can run assists, no tyre wear, no fuel usage, no damage etc, where in Time Trail everything is turned on, so be careful that your not running around with damage without knowing, i have done it a few times.
Also in Timetrial i'd say you've got at max 1-2 flying laps depending on the car, before your tyres will be shot.

Failing all that it might be a glitch that needs looking into with more car/track combos.
