If you are a MP guy then that won't bother you too much but for folks that don't MP much it's a HUGE issue. I would have bought this already if it hadn't associated itself with Simply (F*****g) Mad Studios.
Trust is gone.
I know it's using the Madness Engine, but its not pCars 1 or 2. It's like having a hammer. A hammer is not per se bad. It's the person using the hammer.
As soon as i fired up the game, the first thing that i said to myself was "this looks too much like PC2"
I enjoyed the brief time i had with the game, but the content is not what i was hoping for. The only content i enjoyed were the F1 cars. Also very shocked that the game came with such a terrible selection of race tracks. Monza, Silverstone, Laguna Seca to name a few should have been included.
This is just my opinion, so nobody needs to have a heart attack over it.....
I will probably pick the game up at a later date when more (better) content is available.
Try the tracks in Brazil. They are amazing. Very underrated. They have lots of flow. Good door-2-door battles and such.
You seem to be expecting a full level of content from a title that is going to offer DLC, which is unreasonable. Of course it looks like PC2, it uses the same engine.
your crystal ball is broken.. my tarot said the opposite :)
Take for example the player's car physics. When you spin out at high speed the car reacted so unrealistic. It does n't slide sideways as much, instead the car simply spin round and round. Even RF2 feels more realistic . Every inch of the physics feels way much realistic compared to AMS2. So many positive thoughts before the beta release and now a huge disappointment. REIZA , sorry you are failing.
I trust them to fix the AI but I cant imagine its their first priority at the present time.
As it is now it is already better that Pcars2 from what iv seen. It just needs some more tweeting.
I have full confidence they can pull it off. These guys will make the best of the engine.
A game engine does not make the game it needs good input to get good output and I trust Reiza will do a good job with it .
point out what is good, point out what needs work
THEN WAIT
Not a good advert for the game then...5 hours and you are still working on the ffb. AMS1 took no where near that long.
My confusion with AMS2 is the UI, (part imperial and part metric), the UI in AMS1 was a breeze, it would be great if there was a choice between the AMS1 UI and the present AMS 2 UI.
Can only wish...are you reading this dev's.
i race only in VR, quickly changed from flat screen and the game runs and looks beautifull in VR! its so immersive. Also the FFB feels great as i can feel all the effects i need while in VR to keep the car going fast. it really is amazing and raceroom or assetto corsa don't give me all the ffb i want. as for the old games eh ams 1 menu instantly puts me off the game and graphics. no ffb wizardry will make me play that or rfactor 2 anymore.
