Seems much snappier too! Kicked everyone off I guess lol
Especially prevalent in the community and profile pages, but can affect other areas too.
Disagree.
PDX Mod Manager is one of the many reasons CS2 is getting a lot of flak.
Steam Workshop is much better and convenient.
I do not mind alternatives as long as Workshop is available.
Totally disagree.
I hate paradox mod manager as it always causes problems.
I've seen nothing from the devs to suggest any new mod portals will be introduced in the next game. Rather it's sort of been the opposite, that no new ones will be added. I suspect they want to consolidate the mod user base rather than further fragment it.
Based on the track so far and some reading between the lines, it's my belief that Mod.io will be the main mod portal in the next game.
Whether or not Steam Workshop is also included seems more uncertain..., there's significant costs for devs and TpF2 has a large bandwidth load for a relatively small user base.
For that same reason it's my understanding that they are not pursuing their own "in-house" mod server, because of the high costs to develop and operate one, compared to services like Mod.io or even Steam Workshop.
In any case, it probably depends on what they learned from their launch of the Mod.io portal at the end of TpF 2, as a trial run for the next game.
