sandbox mode and no cost are gone

Earlier this week I loaded up a save game and sandbox and no cost were gone. I tried starting a new game and both of those are no longer available to use. They don't show up anywhere. Anyone know what happened?

they are base game mods so they won't just disappear. in the load game menu press the "select options" buttons, if they are not in there then validate your Steam files.

I just uninstalled and reinstalled the game and it is working again. Thank you.

Try verifying the integrity of the game files first next time, this should do the trick and will be much more convenient.

Urban Games mods are located in the local folder and should be safe from automatic Steam removal.

That being said, you can backup all mod folder locations, especially the Workshop one, just in case mods are removed, lost, etc.

The fun is the struggle why enable it? I love the very hard mode they introduced as hard was way too easy. But it's in your mods list "no cost".

Different people have different ideas of fun.

I mostly play with these mods on. Ingame mechanics are playable, but too restrictive to my liking.

whereas i never play with them on and like the initial grind, then when i have a billion in the bank around 1950 that's when i set free my inner-virtual-train-set desires.

I only used the no cost mod once just to kind of get a feel for the game and see what I could do with no limit. The sandbox I have found nice to change some of the industries to better suit what I every now and then.
