Downloading Mods

Any one else have a problem loading the game due to downloading mods?

I can't do anything on the opening screen until its downloaded, but the progress bar looks stuck & no estimated time either.

Been waiting over 2 hours to start a game

yeah once you unsub, disable or assets/mods are deleted off the steam workshop, you will no longer load the map you were on.

I hadn't deleted any, the game loaded that way.

And now I can't get Megalomanic maps to work.

What ever they have done has made it unplayable for me

I too have had problems getting experimental size maps to enable, however all my save games with those map sizes are still loading OK, so it's not that causing your loading issue
I think that whatever they had to do to prevent consoles using experimental maps has somehow bled into the PC code

I think it's steam that was at fault.
A black window came up for me to give me the option to load without 'updating' or to wait.
I chose the former and it was ok to play as before.

I kept pausing/unpausing the download and nothing would happen for ages. So I ignored it.

The ingame download manager works fine for me, but if you have issues with it you can always use Steam Workshop directly, assuming of course you are on Steam PC.

You don't understand. I and I assume they weren't trying to download/subscribe to anything.
Last night [for me] I and others could not run the game without a window popping up saying the game/steam wants to download something for the game. When you click on the 'wait' for it to do it, it didn't download anything for ages as in 10 minutes+ [if at all as I didn't wait long enough and went to bed later]. It didn't even try and attempt to do anything just stuck there.
I just clicked the other option to go into the game anyway and it worked for me.

Why does it take forever to download new mods been stuck 12hrs now this is crazy!!!!!
