Quickly use existing mod list from save file
Hello it's me again.

I know that whenever I used mods before and try to starting a new free game, the mod list stays the same so I could quickly generate a map and playlist.

But for some reason, the last time I run TPF2, the game returned error message pointing to settings.lua (which contains all mods currently activated) saying that there is an illegal character there (somehow there is a "★" in front of all my mods in there) so the game resets every settings I had and lost my currently active mod list too.

I know I could reactivate them one by one but it is tedious to do so because I have hundreds of them (and more tedious to arrange the load order).

Is there a way to re-use existing mod list, maybe from the save I have?

Thanks.

As far as I know there is no way to do that. But I hope somebody can prove me wrong. Because I'd really like that feature.

Or better yet add the option to create mod groups. That way you could have as many different groups as you want. And then you could just select one of your groups when you start a new game.

if tpf2 has a modmanager as TpF1 then use it.

I wish there was too.
There is something on transportfever.com, but I cant get the thing working!
A way of checking which mods I have subscribed too/downloaded & never use so I could ditch some would be handy too!

You could add all the mods to a steam collection, then it's easy to unsub and resub to redownload them all if there has been a corruption for some reason.

Its not a mod corruption per se, but rather a game settings corruption. My subscribed mods are okay.

That is a great idea actually. Hope that will become a reality in future update. Enabling the mods one by one is not so good especially if you need to rearrange the mods yourself.

I still actually don't know why the game settings decided to add that unicode characters to the settings.lua file.
