Playing on controller (via Steam Deck) and can't extend truck loading stations?

Playing on the Steam Deck with a controller, and I'm trying to add on cargo stations to one of my truck stations. I see the blue squares where I can add them, but it won't let me place them? It's been a while since I last played but I don't remember being any restrictions based on years?

It's currently 1856, I've flattened the land around the station just in case but no dice.

Had enough money and it didn't give me any errors.

I quit to desktop and went back in and it worked just fine until I placed another truck loading bay and lost the upgrade functionality again until I restarted.

Might be a bug I suppose. The upgrades, parking area, entrance/exit, storage rooms ect. weren't even snapping to the squares.

I play on Steam Deck itself with no issues.

If it is blue and you are pressing the appropriate button then the building should be built without issues.

Have you checked the keybindings and ensured you are pressing the left mouse button or enter?

I checked keybindings. The only reason I think it might be a bug is because right after restart, it works perfectly fine. I place a new spot and can no longer upgrade any thing until I restart.

I could be because I'm playing using my bluetooth dualsense. I don't have any mods or anything, and it works normally if I'm playing the Deck in handheld mode.
