What prevents industry closure?
I'm playing with the expanded industries mod, which makes certain industries very precious, and after spending my last dollar setting up a line to the one conveniently placed lubricants factory on the map that's set to close... I find that it's not working.

I've got a road line bringing crude from a well that already had a cargo station to a nearby refinery, and then bringing the refined oil back. That works fine. The problem is that it doesn't seem to be actually registering that the refined oil should be going to the lubricants factory, despite the other line that stops here not picking up refined oil.

So how can I prevent this? Is it because the station's overfilled with crude?

You can prevent it in settings before you start playing the map, but once you start moving the oil (or whatever) the raw material place won't shut down then.

Hi, it sounds like there's a connection missing between the oil cargo station and the lube refinery. If the Consumers tab of the oil refinery shows zero demand from the lube factory, then there's a linkage issue somewhere (connection path, vehicle type, load/unload filter, etc).

Something is wrong in the second leg, check connections at both ends of the line, and whether the vehicles you used in it can carry the desired cargo.

Got it. I've just now discovered there's a way to deselect all when setting cargo filters, so I'll doublecheck each step of the line while setting detailed filters and see if I can resolve it that way. Thanks friends!

Edit: It seems the issue was that my terminus, which was RIGHT NEXT to both the lubricants producer and the road leading into it, wasn't connected somehow. :P Some reconfiguration of the platform fixed it.
