Having issue making a line
I have started a new map. And am in the early beginning. Have put down to cargo stations and want to make a line between them. I have done this probably hundred times without issues. Or at least not without figuring what was wrong.

This time I have no idea why I can not make a line.

As mention. I have put down one track between two stations and try to make a line between them.
No way!

I have set up waypoints between them and from station 1 they all connect but not from station 2. It is like it is not connected. I have deleted and reconnected it several times. It will not connect.

Any suggestions? Have checked every meter of the track 3 times. There is no gap.

Either there is a line break in the rail or er.. there's a line break in the rail.. If the stations are doubles or more, it is possible sometimes to try to setup from line 1 to line 2 in which case goto route manager and switch from line 1 to line 2 should fix the route.

ie there might be a line of rail, but there is no line of sight for the route to connect. Otherwise I can't see any possible solution to the problem, the line will complete unless there is a break. have you selected a bus stop next to the station by accident? Maybe..

Try making a test line, two stations quite close and the line between them (you can demolish and get your money back, after)!. Does this work?!. If so there must be a fault on the problem line!..Have you got tunnels on the line, there may be a gap in there somewhere, don't be fooled by the waypoints the fault/gap can be anywhere between the two stations (I found that out to my cost)!. it can be very frustrating!.

I have no idea what happened, but when loging in again there was no problem. No idea what was causing this. I did not do anything except making the line again in order to make a screenshot, but it worked flawless.

Well well......here we go! Thanks for all replies!!

I’ve had a similar situation with airports. The two airports were already in operation, but I decided to add a cargo terminal to one or them. After I tried to connect a line between the two terminals, an error occured, telling that the plane could not find a route. Despite the plane was actually flying, no goods were transported. The solution was to build a new cargo terminal in the arrival airport and correct the route. After all it worked.

So, I would recommend you build another platform and a railway in the railstation’s settings and then try to connect the route with the new platform. I don’t give guarantees, but it could help :)

PS: Try to demolish the original platform after building the new one. This will minimise the risk of error.
