Factory Shipment
Production is maxed. Transport is maxed. Shipment is different locations of the same resource though. What determines how much "Shipment" a factory or even a supply location produce? The Factory is overloaded with resources and just isn't producing 200/200 and instead 100/200.

Meanwhile I'll see certain supply locations such as wheat or logs have vastly different shipment values even though they are being used at the same rate. What gives?

product will not ship until it has a destination and will only supply annually what that destination accepts annually. you can ship up to the max demand even if the prdouct is not shipping to the next point.

ex: tools factory accepts 100 lumber a year so if you put 400 logs into a lumber factory it will produce 200 lumber with all the profit for the logs but will only ship 100 lumber.

Supply and demand, yes. How do you increase how much they use annually?

Edit: Also, why is it that 3 log camps produce different amounts of logs per year?

It seems that the final destination city determines how much the overall demand is. Splitting distribution up between two cities increased the production of the factories to meet the demand and therefore upgrade to the next tier. Nice!

Well it is splitting the demand lets say 400 logs on the 3 camps. One may produce 200 and the others each 100 (likely something different than that).

I got a handle on city supply, pretty neat. Does anyone know if having multiple dump locations with multiple lines to spread out the goods helps a city at all?

Yes it does.

Just downloaded Transport Fever 2 - loved the first version. In this one, I cannot seem to get any thing shipping. I have a line from oil to the refinery and the refinery to the city, but nothing is moving. Any help on this?
