Tools Factory refusing to output tools?
I have this setup here: https://imgur.com/ykNi5eG
The tools factory recieves and consumes lumber, but it refuses to output any tools.
I have confirmed that I have the right wagons etc.

The only thing I'd check is, click the train and truck depots and make sure they're touching the parts of the city that actually want the tools. Even if the last stop is, the tools won't go if that middle stop doesn't want them. The tool factory just won't supply them from what I've seen.

I kind of wish we could simply TELL vehicles what to pick up, so we could make this type of intermediary route. Instead of the truck or train being all cargo, or multi cargo types, we could say this is specifically for TOOLS and the tool factory would supply those if they're being fed properly.

I had the same problem with the sugar farm in Campaign 2 (Dutch West Indies). No matter what I tried it would not output any sugar.

I fixed the issue by replacing the truck in town with a different kind.

But the industries that use the sugar were within the catchment area of my station. I did check for what you are saying to make sure I didn't need to transfer the sugar to another part of town via truck. It should have worked.

Very helpful, thanks. And I agree completely on destinations taking what we want, to permit intermediate shipments.

Had the same issue no matter what I tried the factories wouldn't output. Then then light bulb went off and I made a connection to a city that needs it. Factories started churning out products. Just another trial for a noob.

Although you can't do this on a per-vehicle basis, you can do it on a per-line basis. Line Manager > Choose Line > Choose Station > Click the thing that looks like a dude inside of a gear cog.

Right, but I meant even if the destination doesn't REQUIRE the goods marked. I tried to ship FOOD to a train station for onward transport to a city that required FOOD, but because the City the train station was in didn't demand it, none could be loaded or unloaded no matter how many times I picked FOOD Load/Unload in the line manager. :(
