Transport Fever 2

Ver estadísticas:
Factory is not bringing goods to nearby train-station
i have a tool-factory which is making tools out of wood. i bring the wood with trucks to the factory and the tools with a train to the city. Productivity is on 100% but the shipment is at 0%.

FCOFL!! DEVELOPERS, JUST LOAD THE DAMN DOCK!!

Why try and micromanage every little detail regarding the pipeline! You make s..t so damn complex and tedious, with your customers (the ones who BUY your game) getting tired of the "pickiness" of you constraints, and they will give up and stop playing! Games are for LEISURE! They are supposed to give a player ENJOYMENT, not FRUSTRATION!

I have the same damn issue with TOOLS. I have a train going to the tools depot to (supposedly) pick up the tools. It then ships to a depot in town, that is adjacent (and CONNECTED) to an air terminal, where a cargo plane is waiting to be loaded.... guess what! It doesn't WORK!

According to the tools factory, it shipped 176 tools... but NONE went on my train! Sure, there's a road there the goes to an adjacent town (on scale, about 60 miles away). But it has no line to the tools! But when one train drops off the lumber, you can look at the tools status tick away. They are being consumed, but by nothing! They're not on the train,, they are not going to town... so is it now that the tools factory is now it's own consumer too!

Too much s..t to do a simple task! This is a lovely game, and very well done!... but damn! Just load the damn docks!!

I'm betting that the airport the cargo plane lands at isn't in range of anything that needs or ships tools. Although this person probably won't want help because they can't handle feeling stupid when someone points out their obvious mistake.

To be fair, when you make a mistake on a complex system it can be very hard to find the error. When you do the same setup over and over and then suddenly something doesn't work, it is confusing.

I have had this happen so many times. I then take a break. When I come back I start from square one. Check every box. The mistake I make all the time is on the truck loading and unloading.

My error is always in what resource my choice deliver is allowed to pick up and allowed to drop off. For example,

Quarry to Materials.

Quarry will not produce stone if your truck cannot pick it up. Also, the quarry will not produce stone if your truck CAN pick up stone, but your truck doesn't have permission to unload stone at the destination. ALSO, your truck has to be able to load stone to begin with. Not all trucks are built to hold all materials. All three of these situations have to be correct, or the quarry will not load stone on the platform to be picked up.

Materials to City drop off.

All things previously mentioned, plus consider demand. I know people are like "my city demands it." Relax, we are not calling you stupid. What we mean is that check location of drop off. Are you unloading on the side of the road (hopefully). If you are not and you put a truck dropoff platform. Check all the above specifics.

My story

I have built some crazy complex trade routes and been stumped on a 1 to 1 route for 30 minutes. It happens to everyone from time to time. I won't lie. I have spent nearly 2 hours trying to figure out my mistake before on a 1 to 1 route.

I once told my truck to pick up everything, but only drop off materials in the city. Well, the platform it was picking up from had random oil get on it from another mistake I had just fixed. Anyway, I had a truck with oil and no place for it to drop it off so it would never deliver materials to the city. Took me forever to notice that. The smallest glitch and cause a compete shutdown.

Gorby ,your missing the man's point and just getting snippy. I empathise with his frustration, and I'm sure he'd be very grateful for any constructive help.

After hundreds of hours I still find I make "silly" mistakes! most common is not providing trucks to the area in town than need the stuff from the Station or Airport. Other one is siting a station that looks connected to a road but isn't quite. Also requirement areas change as a town grows so that needs watching.
I can honestly say that I ALWAYS find MY error eventually. Never yet found a bug.
Like Geekcrux I have relocated a truck to another line and its existing load has created a minor issue, like bricks at a Bread factory, although they go away eventually.
Good luck with resolving your issue, let us know what it was so we can all learn.
MageOfAnubis 1 JUN 2020 a las 12:43
Well, thanks to @geekcrux, I redid things, making sure to check EVERY MUNDANE and MINUTE detail along the way. Haven't had any issues since. So thanks to him, I'm getting less frustrated. There are times where I get gobsmacked at the complexity, and still don't understand why a factory will be slow as dog s**t putting stuff out while the demand in the town is only 30% or so. I would expect a slowdown once it got to 90 or 100... but demand is still high, yet the manufacture is going at a snails pace.. that confuses me.

But after you get the hang of how picky things are, things flow a lot smoother. There are still minor things, but to no fault of the game. For instance I spent an hour doing and redoing a supply line (checking every minute detail) yet still couldn't get the factory to produce. I existed, reloaded.. turned out to be a micro gap in my rail line, inside a tunnel going through a mountain. But, all is well and fun again. Busy making maps now. So thanks to the helpful ones!

Same problem. I solved it by running the trucks in the destination city. There has to be connection to the final destination for beginning to charge at the station.

First of, if have not noticed yet, this is a simulation game. The DEVS do not tell you for what, but if you think a little you'll figure it out - Model Railroading. I hope this is clear. It explains a lot about the game.

The second part is - make sure there is no demand for the goods (tools in your case) in the nearby city. It will eat your shipment, unless you deliver there or ship more planks. On ocasion the depos/stations may have bugged or it could be the factories, if manually placed. After the last pach it should not be a problem (I have not had one yet).
