TpF1 works differently here... TpF2, you also have to make sure you have a street connection (available in more places) adjacent to the industry and adjacent to the station, and be sure they are in the catchment area of the other.

that been said..... check your line !!!
Every time I've heard of someone having issue with lines, it's because they missed something. Here's a small checklist:
-Are you sending to the correct place within a city?
-Is there a footpath connection to the road network?
-Are the appropriate buildings highlighted when you click the station?
-Are all lines from source to destination setup?
-Do you have vehicles on those lines?
-Are those vehicles allowed to pick up the cargo?
Make sure to go over the route with a fine tooth comb, as any single break in the chain will cause the entire thing to not work.

It happens with the brick factory only thus far.
If the train is wait till full let it run empty at least once
And how exactly does having other cargo lines working perfectly act as proof that you simply didn't make a mistake with this one? As Autocoach said, other end of the line is more important, so any screenshots of that would help, or better yet, a save to actually verify if it is indeed a bug.
