Campaign mission 18 (chapter 3): Last achievement (Oriental Pearl Tower) - What am I missing?

The last achievement was super hard to get.

You need to transport 200 workers to a construction site in the city center, however this takes ages, as only very few people want to go there.

I even destroyed all industrial buildings in Shanghai at some point and walled in the entire city with train stations, so that citizens are forced to work at the construction site. This speeds up the process a little, but still takes around 30-45 minutes on 4x speed to get all workers. (this also lead to quite a few CTDs so I did not follow through until the end)

What makes this medal tedious to get is the fact that you are not allowed to earn more than 10 million or the entire mission will just finish before you can get the medal.

Did I run into a bug or does it also take ages for you? Is there a special trick?

My "strategy" in the end was to sell everything, except 20 trams and then I just kept the game running in the background. Eventually I got the medal, but by that time I had a negative account balance of 120 million in addition to a maxed out 100 million credit (so a negative 220 million in total...).

PS: For me the tower remained a construction site, even when the side mission was over (despite the pop up saying "tower has been built"). So this could be a bug.

Not sure how many people have gotten this far yet, couldn't find any youtube videos for this mission yet.

Well .... look in Shanghai for anything that look like a construction site, something that is not a building, anything out of the ordinary, click on that structure and check what it say. And THAN build your bus / train station close to that structure so it is highlight.

You guys need to stop misguiding people. The first worker transport destination is the construction material plant, not the tower itself.

This mission is a PITA.
1) It can be completed after main mission completion and the bonus award and steam achievement will be awarded.
2) It might be wise to sell everything else, so as to not run out of money.
3) Setup a single workers bus with a bus stop at a close by residential high rise. Set the route to run on bus lane only single roads. This seems to deliver more workers per run.

This is the most inane things I ever did. I literally left it running at 4X speed for an hour while I did other things in my life, came back and still only 135 workers were transported. C'mon, there must be something better
