How to change cargo type ?
So i started in 1850 and the first thing i did was to make truck stations, the problem is the vehicles list as all cargo so you would assume it change to the cargo type needed itself since a normal driver would do that it makes more sense, but it just stays on wood and waste my time and money for no reason.

I sent them all back to depot and there's still no way to change the cargo from wood.

I guess it has been a while since I played TF1. There, we could restrict by car right? So this car would be full 1 way, empty the other way. In TF2, we can say this entire load only take coal, but we can't say take only half the coal.

I honestly prefer TF2 way. I can easily create a 2nd line really quick, and it stops trains from running empty 1 way, with proper planning.

To also be able to edit the line at the terminal, per car would be nice, but very cumbersome.

Thanks Found it but very clunky to use, as in TPF you assigned the cargo to the wagon at the depot, then if wanted it collect anything you left it with the little +, but if say wanted stone you pick stone. I have now found it in the game but its hidden away and no where near as obvious, as in the first game, everything is such a muddle in this game trying to find simple things in this ui we now have.

Actually it's been greatly improved. Go to the line Manager and you can set load and unload by station for each item.

You can not build a train which collects iron and coal. How is that an improvement?

Hey Guys, try open Line Manager, and there is a gear logo under the color (at the right side of station name) that is filter/cargo filter. You can set it how many cargo as you want in percent. It works for me... :)

I have read the first 1/3 of the above and decided to type without reading the rest.

Of course a train can carry more than just one good. It depends the cargo types each wagon can carry.
If a wagon has only one compartment, it can only carry one type. But the next wagon can carry another type.
If a wagon got multiple compartments, it can carry multiple types.
Simple as that.

At the time this post was created, this wasn't in the game. So what's your point? Necro a thread just to show you know the game?

Check to make certain that the vehicle you're using can actually carry grain; most vanilla vehicles are not universal carriers.
