Last night, for example, I had a passenger station. Single track. I added a second track with a freight platform, but since I used the same line for both the (original) passenger train and the (new) freight train, it meant the freight train was pulling into the track adjacent to the passenger platform rather than the freight platform. So even though the station had a freight platform, it wasn't considered to be serviced by the freight train, since it was set up to pull into the "passenger" track.
I had to create a new line, identical to the first except for using the second station track instead of the first one. That fixed my issue immediately.
Yep, I'm prepared to bet you selected the "wrong" station icon when setting up the line. If you delete the stop which is the passenger half of the station in question and then add in the correct cargo half in it's place it will probably work - or at least get you past that problem.
BTW if you modularise your station to have both passenger and cargo platforms you get two icons floating above it, one for each. You got to pick the right one when setting up lines.
Do it once, oops, you didn't know better.
Wait until your 20th freaking station and you are still doing it.... Seriously. :D
Cause there is NO WAY to determine if this is happening. I just spent an hour trying to figure out why the ♥♥♥♥ this doesn't work. And there is ONE THREAD on this. If not for this thread i would assume the game is broken.
How is someone using a controller supposed to figure this out? What indication is there that when you select a line those icons are buttons!? NONE! It doesn't highlight or ANYTHING.
Like thats crucial man.
I'm reading this thinking "What those aren't buttons are they?"
How does a game go 5 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ years with such a glaring UI issue. 5 Years and a whole controller UI and no one thought to fix this?!
Agree, great game in parts but ♥♥♥♥ these devs need to spend more QA time on the UI
