You have to use train to get the fish not ship or truck. Hope that helps.

Make sure that the road connects from the fish factory to your train station, and then make sure you are transporting the fish to the shops via truck in Glasgow. Both are mistakes that I’ve made.

Yup i know to get the fish to the right area is important but the fishery itself isnt producing the fish is whats the problem, cheers for assit tho guys,im getting a bit frustrated because i want to do the campaign before i do sandbox.

Had the same problem, eventually it started to work after recreating/moving stations and setting up a fish delivery route deep into the center of the area that wants fish. Even though my Glasgow station looked like it captured some fish buildings, it apparently wasn't doing enough.

I had similar problems with the whiskey mission. It might be better to build routes from finish to start instead of the other way around.

This and create both Lines, buy the Vehicles and put them on the lines. They will run empty for some time, but it should create the demand for the fish.

Solved!!! Just cut a line straigbt through Glasgow and planted a station to receive the fish right where they were needed, was just confused as to why the fishery didnt just load the goods straight away at the station that was serving it,also you cant unload at passenger stations even if you add goods loading platforms to it with appropriate buildings, very frustrating really.

I'm pretty sure I used ship transfer to road! But whatever carries.

Cargo building added to passanger station, and cargo plaform, then a close by truck stop should work.

But in line manager make sure to add the right lane by selecting the cargo icon at the station

I guess my game is bugged, i have the problem with the whiskey, but no matter what i do, the ships are ALWAYS set to "Steel" build everything many times again and again but it stays always to steel, so that triggers that there is no whiskey cargo on the harbor of Port Ellen. Any one an idea what that could be ? deleted already my entire steel production in a additional save to find the problem but itstill persists.

Edit: The New Harbor i build next to Port Ellen works now, but still strange that Port Ellen doesn´t work itself.

When you first buy ships they default to steel but change as soon as they pick up first whisky. Make sure you are running trucks from the port in Glasgow to the commercial district of Glasgow or the distillery won't produce. Build a truck depot in range of the docks in Glasgow and place a truck stop in Glasgow commercial district. Run 4 or 5 vehicles between the two and then whisky starts to produce (assuming you also have cargo ship running between distillery and Glasgow port). Whisky does not produce until you have the full distribution chain up and running.

A general tip is to work back through your distribution Chain when setting up. So in this case you have to have trucks running from Glasgow port to Glasgow commercial district before your ship route from port ellen to port Glasgow will be able to trigger the demand from the distillery to start the whisky production

Edit: Even my own Harbor next the one of Port Ellen works.

Very similar problem to the OP and it is not a bug. It is a fundamental way the game was created. No product will move unless it has an output chain working. If you have the full chain set up, then the goods will flow. If you only have the beginning part of the chain you will see very little or zero movement.

So you have to have the final destination that the finished product will be sold hooked up with lines and vehicles or the beginning product won't even appear.

Thanks Mate, that was my mistake, i did exactly that what you said before the harbor started to work just now. ^^

Ships might need to reach its destination one time before the route becomes active
The_Funk Jan 8, 2020 @ 4:59pm
I'm have this problem, difference is I'm getting hundreds of fish distributed all over Glasgow but it doesn't register i have built the route?! It won't move to the next part 'deliver 25 fish'.
