How to ship cargo by air?

Trying to ship tools from a factory to a city by air. Added cargo terminals to the city airports in both cities, just need to get the tools from the factory to the airport. But when I put a truck depot near the airport it does not turn white. I know it has to be something simple, just haven't figured it out yet.

All stations need a street connecting adjacent to the industry from any of the multiple points they can be provided.

No street was the issue. It is working now. Thanks all. Top video was very informative, but set in 2000. I am running the first cargo plane, and I am using a passenger airport that I bought a cargo hanger for. It works, but I am not making money on the return trip, so I need to see where I can do that. :)
