Save game can not load
Hi
I have played this game for 250 hours, and have never experienced this before. Last time I played this save, I saved it, waited for it to finish, closed the game and shut down my computer. When I shut down the computer it bluescreened, and restarted. Next time I started my computer and loaded the save, it stopped 10 seconds in, and a popup appeared saying "Internal Error", "An error just occured". When I press "Ok", the game crashes to desktop. I have no mods installed in this save. I did the files integrity thing in Steam, with no result. I have no idea how to fix this problem, so any help would be most appreciated. I am no computer expert, just a casual gamer. Thanks.

assuming you haven't changed the autosave or turned it, just click on load game and open the most recent autosave and see if that loads, if it does then you have likely lost a maximum of ten minutes

I have no autosave, I turned it off when recording a drive with a train, and forgot to turn it on again, so that's not an option unfortunately :-(

Now I have tried the save file on another computer, and it also crashes. The file is corrupted then I guess.

First, It is worth checking if not only that file is corrupted. The location the data was stored on your media may have become corrupted and could cause future corruptions if not properly dealt with.

Run a media check to make sure it is either fixed or marked at the firmware level then try to load that file again. If it was fixed it may load. if not it will have been deleted. Most likely it can't be recovered but it might be worth a try. Also, for peace of mind you will need to fix that data location anyway.

Thanks for your replies. I have runned a disc check, and it solved nothing.

Here's the stdout file content. It says nothing to me. The last line "An error just occurred, is what pops up when it crashes.

He already tried that. You need to read the entire thread before trying to help. OP, do you have a previous save? You don't have an auto save but did you ever manually save? You can start there. I hope it's not to far back or if no then you probably lost this game. It's game so not the end of the world but still hurts. You should check every now and then to make sure your auto save is on in case you turn it off and forget to turn it back on.

there's some kind of problems with the workshop and the mods...
i played this morning, all was ok, 3 hours later i come back, tried to launch, aaand nothing... errors.
if i go to see in the mod section on "load save", i see nearly all the mods with the yellow alert...
