Help with Crash Dump details please.
I'm getting this crash on a regular basis recently, could someone tell me if this is due to Vulcan, a Mod or something else please? Thanks in advance.

I have the .dmp file and the relevant stdout.text if required.

Hi,

Sorry for your inconvenience. We are aware of this problem and are working on it.

Can you share your savegame with us?
Any specific acitivity you do in-game or does it crash in different situations?
What is your hardware configuration (cpu, gpu, game version)?

This information would help us to identify the different issues causing this crash.

Best regards
Thomas

Hi @thomas.buerkli

Would you like the savegame put up on the Workshop Thomas or is there a better way to get it to you directly? As stated, I also have the .dmp and the stdout.txt if you want them?
The CTD's happen at ramdom times when attempting to place various objects such as Stations, Tram Stops , Depots etc. This happens randomly, I might place a Depot and it CTD's first time, I re-launch and place the same object in the same place and its fine. I might place 3 x Train Stations fine then the 4th causes CTD. But it only happens when placing a building or structure. As far as I can tell, it happens when aligning the object, not when clicking to place the object. I hope this helps.

Here is the savegame on Workshop:

Hi,

Thanks for the save game.
Unfortunately i am not (yet) able to reproduce the crash with it.

What GPU / driver version do you have?

BTW, we just released a new testing version (see https://steamcommunity.com/groups/transportfever2_mac_vulkan/discussions/2/2984162084719213781/).
This release fixes some of the device loss crashes on amd graphic cards.

Best regards
Thomas

Hi Thomas, GPU is a GeForce 1650 Super with up to date drivers (Game Ready 461.40)
Running Win 10 (Up to date) 16Gb RAM.
I'll switch over to the Beta and give it another try. Thank you.

Switched to Beta and played for a couple of hours, plopping structures everywhere, no crashes yet, seems more stable. Thanks Thomas.

I switched the Graphics API (in Settings) from Vulkan back to OpenGL and my issues were instantly gone.

@OlderThanEwe Good to know mate, I'll keep that in mind and I'm sure others will benefit from that knowledge. I must say, I haven't seen any noticeable difference in performance with Vulcan, I am running a test on a very busy V.Large map at the moment and things are slowing down as quickly as they ever did.

So, just had this crash again, however, its the first one in about 10 hours of play so at least it isn't as regular anymore. This time I was just about to plop an entry point for an underground station. Never mind, Re-start.

Hi @thomas.buerkli I'm now running Beta and the CTD's have lessened in frequency but I am still suffering random crashes whilst just observing and not plopping or adjusting anything. It is a similar error as detailed below. Best Regards, SpecialistZer0.

@OlderThanEwe Done the same now mate, like you, no more issues, I'm sure they'll fix it eventually but for now, fed up with the crashes.
