Saves Missing
I have not played TF2 for a while.
I started it today and all the save files are missing, all the mods are missing too.
The game is still installed OK though.
But there are no cloud saves showing at View Steam Cloud <https://store.steampowered.com/account/remotestorage> on the Steam website for the game.
I checked C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\##My SteamAccount##\1066780\local\save

All other games working OK and saves are complete.

I had been counting on the Steam cloud.
Guess I need to backup the Steam games myself, though why this has all vanished is a mystery. 300 hours of gameplay all lost - this is disappointing.

Steam cloud is unreliable. I've found recently a handful of games are missing their saves and profiles, but not all by any means. Stick to local saves and back them up if possible.

I stopped relying on Cloud more than as year ago. Too many lost gamesaves. Any game.

The problem in my case is quite likely to be my ISP as I get frequent losses of the link between my TV and the Internet too. Well.... I say frequent... but I have to admit those crashes are much less frequent than even 10 years ago. How quickly we forget the quality of service we used to think was a vast improvement on what we had before ;)

EDIT: Added 'Any game'

I wouldn't expect the ISP to be an issue, even if connection is lost, the previous save files should still be there. If they disappear, that's most likely to be a steam issue. Even more so if they are local files.

Saves need to be made before they can be reloaded. ISP issues do indeed impact on the quality of saves.

All save data, profile are stored at
<Steam folder>\userdata\<your user id>\1066780\
I think, mods are stored at that directory too.
If you want to backup everything, try that! That's only applicable to the Steam version at Windows.
