Junctions on bridges
I recall being able to build junctions on bridges, which was great when doing elevated tracks. I don't seem to be able to do it now, it just says "Collision" when I try. Any ideas?

Track laying is quite finicky at best, so you may need to relay that bridge, try from different directions, different spots etc. But is is still possible.

track junctions can be messy even at the best of times. Trying to have junctions and/or crossings on a bridge or tunnel will normally end with very visually poor connections if they work at all. Its often best to try to avoid junctions on bridges and tunnels but with some attention to detail, a bit of trial and error and maybe some hair pulling, you can get it to work and look "ok". Some general things to keep in mind when making junctions on bridges or in tunnels.

- At the start or end of a bridge (the length varies but its normally not a very big section) it can be really hard to make junctions or crossings and can result in uneven tracks if you do get it to work. Try to view the bridge or tunnel like this "Bridge/tunnel starts (we call this the ramp), bridge/tunnel continues over/under object (water or whatever)( we call this the body), bridge/tunnel ends (we call this the ramp also). Its always best to try to build on the "body" of a bridge/tunnel instead of the "ramps" due to collision and height issues. On flat tunnels or bridges where there is no change in elevation from start to end of bridge/tunnel this does not come into effect as much and can generally be ignored

- Any changes made to the bridge will affect the overall pylon distribution for that bridge. Often times this can cause issues as these can conflict with the surrounding terrain or tracks (happens more the closer to the start/end of a bridge you are)

- In tunnels you will often have walls clipping across tracks when viewed from some angels and when trying to make multiple junctions these walls can often obstruct your ability to add a track piece. Also when using signals at underground junctions can cause some signals to clip into walls or become invisible when viewed from certain angels.

- If your trying to lay down a section but it wont work, try building the section from different angels or directions, it may not work going north to south, but building south to north might for eg. You can also try changing up the order you lay down the track, so if your trying to lay two tracks side by side, but only the left side builds and the right side then wont let u build, try building the right side first then the left. Simple things like this can help. Its mostly trial and error to get it working and can be very time consuming if you want to do it and have it look "nice" instead of a horrible mess

Most of the issues you will find with crossings/junctions on bridges/tunnels will be visual things, but as stated above some of these visual effects can cause issues for adding, removing or altering track sections.

Not sure if it was mentioned already, but a common mistake I see some people make is trying to make a switch that is part on ground and part on a bridge. This is never allowed. It has to be entirely off or entirely on the bridge/tunnel.
