Light rail system
Light rail is for and drive both on normal tracks and around the city streetscape why do we not have them here in Tp2

I live in Aalborg, a city in Denmark. Here the city is too small for an underground system but good enough for a light rail system.

I have drawn up a plan of routes on a paper map of the city a project that will improve the city's infrastructure as the city's streets are narrow and it only becomes difficult with time to get around the city. And since we only have a train route that goes through the city I want to make a combination and make what is called a park an rid system but Trams can not run on normal train tracks as light rail trains can. Right now I am in the process of making a map of Aalborg with a suitable street equation

Because the devs are only a small team and have limited amount of hours.

You have to also remember they've work on the game engine a lot also as it's their own, they are just porting it across to the mac.

In the UK we have 'guided' buses in some cities, buses with an extra set of side wheels that enable them to be guided through guide rails and move about more quickly, but you can't include everything in this game.

If the devs hadn't spent the last year or so working on a mac version. Maybe we would have light rails?

Because they focused on a shiny looking game than pressing forward like they did with TF to TpF1.
Maybe trying to compete with Cities: Skylines rather than near obscure genre of Transport Logistics Sims.
Shame really, TF to TpF really showed promise of a progressive logistics sim. Now they seem pretty much ready to be bought up.

Looks like this time they are hiring more software devs, rather than artists.

I think Multiple Units are a decent middle ground between trams and full-on trains.

This also falls under my concerns for street running a track.

The devs should not be expected to implement every single make and model of transport vehicle, no, but they DO need to provide enough framework to allow modders to do the rest.

Let's hope they make it possible / much easier to implement trolley buses (a bus with a tram-style overhead wire), guided buses (rubber-wheeled vehicles guided by some type of rail), light rail ("fast trams"), street-running trams and trains, underground metros, monorail, skyrail, dual-mode carriages*... in TF3.

Just providing heavy rail, buses and trams might be good enough for an initial release, but it definitely falls short of expectations for a game that has matured for several years.

Just as they absolutely should make the game allow for left-hand side drive straight out of the box (the British/imperial way of doing things is NOT just some niche application you can leave up to modders) and three-aspect rail signaling where computer vehicles drive at half speed when facing a yellow light (which would help IMMENSELY in minimizing trains stopping and starting over and over again).
