Cargo confusion at truck stop
It seems like a bug.

I have 2 cargo trains coming into a terminal : Tools and Fuel
They go into different platforms of the same station.

I created a truck stop with 2 different platforms, right across the road from the station. Assigned a different line to each platform and the trucks pickup the cargo and drop it off at different drop off points within the city.

All seemed fine till today (or maybe I just never noticed it before).
When the cargo trains pull into the station, most of the cargo goes to the correct platform but some of the cargo goes to the wrong one. The wrong ones eventually age and disappear -- a complete waste :(

I noticed this was happening so I removed 1 platform from that truck stop and created a brand new truck stop with a single platform. In effect I separate the 2 cargo types across 2 different truck stops, once platform in each one. But the problem persists. When trains of one type of cargo come in, the cargo gets split across both truck stops.

Very annoying - what could be causing this? Any suggestions on how to fix?
Is it something I'm doing or is this a bug of some sort ?

The two truck lines must overlap their catchment area such that trucks on one of the lines have both commercial and industrial in catchment . Normally I would personally just have one truck line for 'final mile' doing both or if the town needs it a couple of lines but not worry about each line being product specific.

However , in the line manager you have the option to limit what is loaded and unloaded at each stop of a line so you can set these two lines to only load the product that you want and after a short while all should go the correct way.

The one / two truck stops idea you had above has no effect.

That makes sense, thank you.

I like separating them as it gives me finer control and a view to the "rate" of each resource.
I will try controlling via load preferences.
