Railway Intersections
Does anyone know how to build to railway intersection that can go to 4 directions (like the one in the Battle Chapter 3 Story 4)?

Can you provide a picture that illustrates what you're talking about?
A simple crossing of two lines could qualify as an "intersection that goes in 4 directions", but I assume you mean something more complex than that?

It's like the intersections the screenshot.
For instance, the train from upper left can go both to the upper right and lower right, and vice versa. The intersection I built can only go from upper left to lower right.

You make the diamond switch and then click on the centre of it and a window will open that lets you toggle a slip switch function. The slip switch is what adds those curved bits that let the trains take those tight turns in the switch to go either direction.

If you mean, how to build this double scissor, then indeed it's not straight forward.

Firstly, you need flat terrain, to avoid any unnecessary hassle. So flatten the entire surface where you plan the double scissor. Build it in a straight section! It does not work in a bended section.

Secondly, lay down 5 tracks parallel, and remove the middle track so you have 2 parallel double tracks separated by an open space.

Thirdly, draw the two crossing tracks from lower left to upper right. That should go without any problem.

Fourthly, draw the two crossing tracks from upper left to lower right. Start at exactly the same relative position as at the other tracks. It should be perfectly symmetrical. If done right, it will permit you to build the second crossover tracks without too much fuss. If it does not work, you might retry a shorter or longer version. It needs often a little trial and error to get it done.

Fifthly. all the diamonds are not necessary in simple double track operation. When approaching a station, you might want to be able to run tracks in counter sense, and so add one or two diamonds there were needed, but normally there are no diamonds needed.

Thanks for the excellent description. I just tried it and it worked great!

I found it! Thank you so much!
BTW, is it possible to save the stations to workshop so that we don't need to build it again and again? orz

Thank you so much for the detailed explanation!!

Back when the game was still under development there was talk about station templates. But I haven't seen any so far.

Every station is different, with different demands, different geographical situation, other lines and capacities... A template would not serve a lot, to my opinion.

True, but I just want to copy and paste some of my stations in the sandbox mod LOL
