Currently trying to make a terminus station that lets my trains choose which platforms they can off load on. However it does not seem to be working at all. Aside from that, I do still have a hard time trying to design and place stations. Does anyone have any guides or screenshots on how to make station layouts?

any platform isn't supported/possible.
if you have hard time doing custom designs then go with the standart prebuild ones.
else you have to build each module 1 by 1.

Lines are always preset to a single terminal platform, so any deviations have to be manually changed.

If you have multiple train lines leading in from the same track... I design my tracks to have longer tracks at the entry points into the station for their assigned track. This allows more free flow of trains.

Lines only go to a single platform and don't choose based on availability. For stations with multiple platforms serving multiple lines I would recommend having a fairly significant trackwork at the station throat. A rule of thumb would be 4 lines in a station, 8 tracks in the station throat if all lines are busy ones.
