Thanks but that's a completely separate thing. I want to be able to filter out lines which are already in view.
* Open Line Statistics which displays all route markings
* Click on line of interest which opens line window
* Close Line Statistics which will then remove all route marking except the one you have the line window open for - just one is now displayed
What you can't do, and arguably should be able to, is have a specific sub-set of line route markers showing on the map. You can use the eye thing etc but that's not always that useful and requires you to go to a vertical view to make it work at all really.
??????????????
To repeat the answer:
* Open Line Statistics which displays all route markings
* Click on line of interest which opens line window
* Close Line Statistics which will then remove all route marking except the one you have the line window open for - just one is now displayed
You can do the same thing selecting a train and then clicking on the line button present on the train window, but it can be quicker to use Line Stats as you may not know what trains are allocated to what lines.
F2 opens the Line Stats window. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to close it again as advertised - I guess that is a a bug/oversight.
No but you can one-click to Line Manager from the line window. There is no useful functionality in Line Manager that requires the line marker to be isolated. It's just for adding/subtracting stops since Line stats has more useful info on it for monitoring/fixing anything else on a route.
If you want to change a platform for example, open the Line Window, displaying the route line, pin it, open the station window, switch to terminals tab, change platform allocation, observe route marker change on screen.
IIRC you could switch route markers on or off for individual routes in TF1. It was a pain for various reasons. It is much quicker the way it's done now once you get used to it.
That "solution" is absolutely besides the point. Not only it's a long and convoluted way to display a line, but as said before you can't manage it, meaning adding or removing stations and changing platforms from that window. Really need the ability to be able to manage one line while viewing it, without unwanted visual spam.
