lazy workers in chapter 1 mission 6

In chapter 1 mission 6 I need to transfer workers from one city into the other via train.

I have mixed passenger/cargo stations and bus lines in both cities. However mixed passenger/cargo trains and passenger only trains don't carry any passengers and there are no passengers at the stations. Any ideas?

Looks like you have a lot of people waiting at bus stops , maybe you need to get them to the railway station with more buses or waiting a while .

Thank you for your suggestion but I think it is not related to the full bus stops. Sometimes passengers are waiting at both bus stops in front of the train stations so they get there eventually.

However I've noticed a warning with the passenger only train stating that passenger trains can't use cargo stations. However it is actually a passenger station with an additional cargo platform and it shows a mixed train station symbol so it should be serving both right?

Combined Stations are Handeld as seperate Stations. When you make the Line Click on the Passenger symbol of those Stations then it should work.

Seems like the path finding the issue was related to the passenger and cargo platforms being at the same track. In that case you need to place them in series not in parallel. I fixed it by placing another track on the other side of the cargo platform. Thank you for your suggestions.

I ended up fixing this by adding a passenger underpass which is under the Misc tab when you configure the train station. I had cargo first then passenger platform so they couldn’t get there. Hope this helps someone else who’s stuck!

Showing pics of your setup are far more useful than just a vague description. Your problem could still be an underpass issue, or something else.
