How to tell distance in the game?
There are some achievements that require certain distance of bridges or railroads. Is there a way to tell how far things are or how long a track is?

You get the totals from the HQ data , you can use the map dims or station lengths as I guide I guess.

When you first lay out some track, you can "see" in the hq data how long that initial track is.. and that'll give you some indication of the length.. however the important info is in vehicle manager, showing you the frequency with which the train completes a route.. usually around 15-16mins.. which is slightly over a game year.. ie it's get from one station to the next.. then the following year arrive at it's start. So distance is really more of what is on the line, rather than how long the line actually is.

I dont know why the devs have again not put this function in game to how many kms it is from point to point. Not only that but they could also have put the gradient of track you lay rather than the useless contour lines that you cant even see in TF2.

Seeing the grade would be helpful; waiting until you have a train going up the unknown grade not so helpful.

GRADE!!! YES! I would l LOVE the ability to see the grade in a linear fashion, or even the ability to see percentage in places. Only thing that shows grade now is those litttle arrows when building the line. I really appreciate that the devs have done with this but coming from actually working for the railroad it's a tad frustrating at times trying to make real word logic work in this aspect.
