2) Is there enough room between stops for the train to get to 200km/h?
2)yes
If a multiple unit says 200 it will do 200 (unless you attach a slow wagon of course !)
1) Trains on through express lines slow down at some [not all and in one direction only] modular stations for no reason at all [correct track used as in high speed] 130mph - 87mph.
2) Over a bridge it went from 100+mph to 20mph [happened in TF1 sometimes too].
3) Track speed 75mph [seen on overlay] but train did no more than 33mph for a long stretch then sped up to 60mph [speed of train/coaches]. This was on a level track.
There are many other problems with this game too.
And when you setup a train, the wagons are to match the speed of the locomotive, so a locomotive with a speed of 120, with not go 120 with a set of 80 wagons. It will go only 80 max. And it will take a few time to get the max speed. If the stations are not far, the train will not get to the max speed., if the rails setup is flat as possible, less curve as possible. And with high speed bridges.
