Signals: "No Line Passing"
I just noticed this language when I selected one of my rail signals. It doesn't have any selector next to it (as opposed to the One-Way yes/no selector). Does anyone know what this is and what it means?

"No Line Passing" means a line is not being pathed through it. You can add signals as 'stops' like waypoints to a line to force it to take a specific route and this message means that this signal is not being used for that purpose; otherwise it would list the lines that use it instead.

Ah, that makes sense. Gracias.
I don't get it. What is the use for such a thing?
It shows up when you add a signal (or waypoint) to a route. Just to ensure your train (or road vehicle, or ship) takes the exact route you want.

And it also shows when it is not used explicitly for any route, and is just a decorative addition.
