These are the keys to change the start/end point height when building road/rails, and what I think the OP wanted as they are changed from PgUp/Down in TpF1.

These change the height of the mid point when building road/rails, and are the same as in TpF1.

It's not actually "<" and ">", it's "," and "." because you don't need to press "Shift".

"M" and "N" can also raise and lower rail/road sections, but "," and "." tend to be most useful for building tunnels and bridges etc.

For those that don't know, and it is woefully undocumented for such an important feature, if you position the little blue build ball cursor on the ground and press "." it changes it to grey. Then if you tap "." again it will levitate into the air a step, tap again you get another step. Conversely if you tap "," it will burrow underground (to make tunnels). Using "Shift+," or Shift+." will raise or lower it in smaller steps.

Thus if you want to build a bridge, for example, if you tap "." with cursor exactly where you want the flat top of the bridge to start and raise the little grey ball up to the height you want you can then drag the rail/road across to the other side getting a perfectly flat top section of bridge with nicely spaced pillars etc.

This is how you build nice bridges.

You are the hero thank you very much! I've built a bridge above the track finally (instead of just crossing it), looks super cool!

But this is so unintuitive, not obvious at all if you don't know how to do that. So I even thought that it's not possible to build bridges above the roads/tracks...

I couldn't figure out how to "select the 120m variant". The "m/n" and the "</>" aka ",/." keys didn't work... having even googled it and found similar answers I still couldn't get it. They made it crooked on purpose (for no reason) to force you to learn how to do it, but gave no instructions in game at all. That's the hallmark of a bad game. I ALT+F4'd, uninstalled, and moved on with my life.

But then took the time to necro an old post rather than just move on?

Select the 120m variant? what do you mean by that?
Not that it matters cuz you uninstalled the game :)

The only place I can think of seeing that figure would be building a 120m station, so hella far removed thing to be doing from the original thread topic, especially for a 2 year necro of the thread.
