Avoid overload cargo station
How can I increase the capacity of the individual platform of the truck charging station to avoid overloading when the maximum length of the platform has already been reached?
I want to have more capacity per platform and not have to drive tons of trucks, because I have trucks with a high load capacity

If your platform is getting overloaded then you evidently aren't delivering enough / don't have enough trucks yet. Embrace the truck. Be one with the truck.

Also, if you've reached the maximum platform length (which I did not know existed, but I think my longest truck platform was maybe eight or nine "units" long), then that's it. There is no other way to increase that platform's capacity.

which parameters in which config file do I have to change?

You do not have to change anything, you have to set a better transport chain.....

How many units are there? 1000?

set different lines for different goods so you have more terminals to store goods.

Thanks for the well-intentioned advice, but I want it specifically.
I have increased the capacity of my trucks in the config files ,so that I dont need to masse on trucks. In return i now need more capacity per platform for the truck station, otherwise it will be filled too quickly from several production sites. i just want more storage place for the road station until the next truck clears it
So where can I set the capacity parameters for the truck station?

As its a modding Question..

As long as you don't keep up by hauling away fast enough sooner or later the platforms will overflow no matter how high the capacity is. You just postpone the overflow.

Bear in mind that this limit is there to keep performance in check. You don't want too much cargo lying around. Every unit of cargo, just like each passenger, is an agent that the game has to keep track of. People would mod the hell out of capacities in TPF1, have thousands of units of cargo waiting to be picked up and then complained about performance issues. This is a way of dealing with that problem. Not the most elegant solution, but admittedly one that works.

You may have already discovered by now that this won't fix the problem you described with overflowing truck stops... you need more trucks.

In one game I ran, I had a Farm line and a Logs line feeding into a Truck Station. Both goods were jumping aboard another truck line to travel to a second truck station the next town over. The intercity truck line couldn't haul product away fast enough, and I regularly had the station overloaded. With how free flowing cargo is, it can be very easy to overload a maximum length truck station, and yeah, I find it very easy to overload platforms in the 1850's when capacities of vehicles are small. All it takes is to feed two input goods from two separate lines into a single output line.

All things considered, if this was Transport Fever, we'd have a lot less agents floating around especially in the early game, since the amount of cargo being spawned would be limited by demand down the chain, yet in this game hook up a couple raw resource producers to a bunch of intermediate producers, and you can flood a network with more product than it can handle far earlier than it was possible in the previous game...

With that said, the maximum length of a truck station is actually 21 platforms. 10 in one direction, 10 in the other direction. This of course doesn't help if you built the truck station up against a road, which can prevent you from extending the platform towards the road if you haven't planned ahead and given yourself enough space. They really need to change this so that you can add platforms in either direction, and it just keeps track of the total number of platforms in use.

With 21 platforms that should be 420 units of cargo?

This is nonsense. A train or ship offloading to a truck station can easily overfill the space unless you've fully upgraded. You shouldn't need to fully upgrade the station just to handle the cargo from a single small cargo ship.

That doesn't give you any extra storage than extending both platforms in the same direction. All that does is take up a lot of extra space.

It is a shame that each truck stop cargo platform only holds 20 items instead of 40 like the rail cargo platforms... 400 max capacity for one truck stop terminal would be plenty.

The platform are separate so they dont add up!
For 1 line you can only use one side!
