Electric Tram Help
I am playing the fourth mission in the first chapter (Pacific something or other) -- and I can't seem to figure out how to upgrade my existing horse-driven tram with an electric one. Can someone please point me to a video or text walkthrough? Many thanks!

I guess the obvious question first: Is your tram depot, and all of your tram rails, upgraded with electric catenaries?

I guess not, since I have no idea what that is and the game offers absolutely nothing about it in either the mission or the help screen. I found one video from a guy who was having a similar problem, though I guess if I watched all 90 minutes of it I'm sure he figures it out eventually. Just a simple walkthrough is what I'm after. I figured someone here might know a good resource that offers a concise explanation of how this is done.

The catenary wire is the overhead wire where the tram takes it's electricity . It will be fairly obvious looking at the route if it is electric.

There is a road upgrade tool which looks like a spanner with a swoop under , click on it and it will show your network , every bit of tram track on the route including that to the depot should be blue , and you can use this to upgrade the roads including that to the depot . Then you should be ok for electric trams.

Thanks. I will take a look. There really should be better explanations for many game features.

So I had upgraded one of my 5 cities first with electric catenaries so electric tram started to work but midway in downtown it stopped. All of the roads in that city from tram depot has been upgraded (double checked it) except the remaining four cites and it's connecting roads.

Surprisingly all of the other Steam Tram stop working in that city too. Question - do I need to have all steam tram send to depot first then upgrade to electrical roads and finally released the electric tram? Is my premonition correct? This game is too complex! LOL!
TIA

Finally figured it out, as tested in a smaller city and simply upgraded all roads to catenaries but some were missed as it fails to work. Turned out even the end roads must be upgraded.
So went back to the big city and fair enough there was an outskirt road was missed.
All is well - thank goodness!
